Stock Cabinetry

In these economically challenging times people who are up for remodeling their kitchen are looking into using stock cabinetry to help with the expense of such a big project. When doing this we tend to be forced to make some compromises such as not as many door style choices or finishes or features. For example I have come across cabinet lines that when using glass doors do not have the option of matching finished interior so if you were to select a white painted cabinet you end up with a natural maple interior with maple shelves. Some people might not notice some people this would drive them nuts. For those who would be bothered by this a suggestion and something that we have done with customers is to remove the maple shelves and use glass shelves instead in addition to that most companies provide a thin panel in the same finish as your new cabinetry – a skilled person could cut to size these panels and apply them to the back, sides, bottom and top of the interior cabinet but that is much more difficult than the glass shelf option!
